Kedai Kopi Mee Bon is a straightforward dim sum eatery tucked into a quieter stretch of Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah in Taman Million, Kuala Lumpur. It stands out for its old-school approach to classic dim sum fare, drawing a crowd that appreciates familiar flavors served without fuss. The restaurant has a no-frills, casual vibe that suits both early mornings when the dim sum steamers first come out, and later evenings when it turns into a supper spot, a rarity for places of this kind.

The menu leans heavily into traditional items like char siew pao, big pao, and a solid compilation of dim sum dishes such as har kau and chicken feet. Regulars note the bao skin here is distinctly light and fluffy, clearly homemade, offering a texture that’s less dense than factory-prepared versions. Fillings tend to be generous rather than overly refined, providing a comforting, hearty experience rather than delicate, modern twists. Items like salted egg dumplings and steamed glutinous rice with chicken packed in stainless steel bowls hint at a home-style sensibility that’s central to the kitchen’s appeal.

This spot plays well with locals who enjoy a traditional dim sum break paired with a hot cup of Teh C, especially on cooler or rainy days. Service is straightforward and friendly, with staff who are familiar with their regulars and willing to suggest popular choices for those visiting for the first time. While prices start from around RM6.50 which could be a bit above average for some dim sum spots, the quality holds consistent, making it a reliable option for those who prize flavor and familiarity over flashy presentation.

In all, Kedai Kopi Mee Bon suits anyone looking for comforting dim sum in a relaxed, everyday setting rather than a polished dining experience. It’s a place where the emphasis falls on traditional taste and a laid-back atmosphere — perfect for early brunches or late-night bites in KL’s west side neighborhoods.

Had a really satisfying teh break at Kedai Kopi Mee Bon — the Char Siew Pau and Kacang Pau were absolutely delicious. The pau was soft and fluffy, with a rich, tasty filling that’s perfectly balanced in sweetness and texture. Paired with a hot cup of Teh C, it was just right for the cool, rainy weather. The staff were polite, friendly, and even helped recommend the best choices for us. The place is clean, welcoming, and has that cozy kopitiam vibe that makes you want to sit and relax. Definitely worth coming back for another teh break!

This is my go-to dim sum spot. Options are great and the quality is consistent. They serve the best chicken feet as compared to many other eateries out there in my opinion.

A old achool dim sum shop. The food may not be very refined, but it's delicious and has its own unique flavor. Their char siu buns are a must-order, the skin is thin soft and pluffy, the filling is generous, and the taste is excellent. They open in the morning and at night, making it a great place for supper. Prices aren’t particularly cheap, starting from RM6.50.

Good old taste. You can taste the bao skin, soft, airy and light. Bao is homemade, not factory made. Dim sum taste like home and serves in decent portion too.
